Ron Renaissance is a New York born bandleader, trombonist, creative visionary, and cultural architect redefining what modern live music looks and feels like. As the co founder and frontman of Uptown Royalty NYC, Ron has built more than a band. He has built a movement rooted in rhythm, heritage, and high level performance.
Raised in Washington Heights during the golden era of 80s and 90s hip hop and graffiti culture, Ron’s artistic identity was shaped by subway art, salsa in the streets, and the raw energy of New York City. That foundation now lives inside his sound. A fearless blend of salsa, Latin soul, hip hop influence, R and B, and orchestral power delivered with unmistakable Uptown Royalty flair.
Ron not only leads the powerhouse 13 piece UR NYC Salsa Orchestra, he also directs Uptown Royalty’s American corporate band, delivering high level performances that span all genres of music. From Top 40 and Motown to disco, R and B, reggaeton, Latin, and contemporary pop, Ron has built a versatile musical machine capable of elevating luxury weddings, corporate galas, festivals, and private events alike.
His stages have included Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Museum, Bronx Museum, Queens Theatre, and SOBs, where Uptown Royalty’s high energy performances consistently sell out dance floors and leave audiences transformed.
In 2025, Ron became an official artist for Rath Musical Instruments, earning an endorsement from the prestigious British trombone manufacturer. This distinction recognizes both his technical mastery and his impact as a modern bandleader shaping the sound of contemporary Latin and crossover music.
